Maker Ready Consulting

Overview

In 2015 I co-founded Maker Ready with two Kat Sauter and Ana Josephson. As maker education began to gain traction in K-12 schools, we saw two pain points: 1) Teachers were slow to adopt new project-based teaching strategies if not confident of their making skills, and 2) School administrators did not know which tools and materials to purchase. To address these gaps, we designed and built “Maker Case” carts fully equipped with tools, materials, and training for K-5 teachers. We designed and marketed the “Maker Starter Kit” that included all the materials for seven self-directed projects for teacher training.
